Mr Shumway Photography Blog

1. This photograph of a Brown Bear catching a salmon was captured at Katmai National Park (7/06). Taken with a Canon 5D 400mm f/5.6 ISO250 1/2000s Av Priority -1/3EV. This is a great picture, taken with the correct camera settings, creating a sharpened clear, attractive image.

2.  This photo was taken with a Canon 5D 17mm f/22 ISO100 1.6s Av Priority -1/3EV. The image has a relitively long exposure, proberbely using a tripod, with a good use of filter, taken with good camera settings, allowing the yellow of the leaves to stand out and amplify the image.

3. BLACKSANDS- Taken with a Canon 5DII 17mm f/11 ISO200 1.3s Manual. This image is WOW, there is a grate use of camera settings, and exposure in black and white. With most of the attention drawn to the foreground and faded due to exposure of the water.

4.Canon 5DII 85mm f/1.8 10s ISO100 Manual, This image looks like two images have been put together, with a long exposure and camera adjustments making the night dark and the snow white. Not really a good image.

5. This image was taken with a Canon 1DIII 28mm f/13 ISO200 HDR. The yellow outlining of the image makes the image stand out, but not look real. I think this image has been edited too good. The foreground is the main focal point with great clarity.

6.This image was taken with a, Canon 1DIV 840mm f/5.6 ISO400 1/800. The image is well done due to the birds eye having light, providing a seance of life to the image. The colors of the bird and the sharpness of the image make the image so much more attractive. The great usage of ios and shutter speed allow the photographer to get the perfect photo.
